Our Mission
Tree Streets is organized exclusively for the charitable purpose to benefit the public by planting trees along streets within the urban neighborhoods of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. We generally plant within the blocks bounded by I-630 on the north, Roosevelt Road on the south, McAlmont Street on the east, and Woodrow Street on the west (see the map below). Additionally, Tree Streets is dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of trees in urban neighborhoods.
In our two decades of service, our beloved downtown Little Rock has experienced amazing growth. With your help, Tree Streets will continue to ensure that growth includes the beautiful trees that shade our walks, clean our air, shelter our songbirds, and cool our urban neighborhoods.
100% Volunteer and Donor Driven
Since 1997, we have served our mission to help rejuvenate Little Rock’s downtown neighborhoods by the simple act of planting trees between the sidewalk and curb. We also educate the community about how to care for trees, and how trees benefit our urban areas by providing beauty, shade, habitat, and biodiversity; reducing pollution and increasing property values; and mitigating climate change.
