Get Involved

Come join us on Saturday mornings to help plant and maintain the next generation of street trees in downtown Little Rock. We meet at Community Bakery (I-630 & Main St.) at 9:00 a.m. and we are generally finished by 11:00 a.m. If it’s raining steadily at 8:00 a.m., the day’s work will be cancelled. We provide all of the tools you’ll need. Children, grand-children, and dogs are all welcome!

Help Our Organization Grow

Tree Streets was founded in 1997 by Little Rock native John Baker, Marie Friend and Billy Wagner. Baker had recently returned from schooling in Saint Louis where he was dismayed by the lack of trees in its downtown neighborhoods. The friends agreed that something should be done to avoid what was happening in Saint Louis. On June 13, 1997, Tree Streets, Inc. was incorporated as an Arkansas non-profit corporation under the Domestic Nonprofit Corporation Act of 1993. Tree Streets gained 501(c)(3) tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service in July, 1997.

If you would like to help Tree Streets continue to grow and serve our mission, please contact one of our board members about opportunities to serve.
